Apply for a Grant 

If you are interested in applying for a Grant, and your organization or project is located in Barre, MA or the surrounding towns, please start the process by completing the Grant Application Form below.

BSCF focuses its giving on youth and senior programs, programs supporting education and health and human services and other projects improving the quality of life in our communities.

Please note your Grant application will be eligible only if all required form fields have been completed and the full application is submitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Requests must include a copy of the organizations 501(c)(3) certificate

    • The foundation gives priority to new programs and projects as opposed to annual operating budgets and salaries.  Our preference is not to fund major capital campaigns.

    • Requests from religious organizations will be considered only when demonstrating support for the community at large 

    • Requests for projects generally supported by local tax dollars are not given priority.

    • Requests from organizations receiving funding in the prior two years will be considered but priority will be given to requests not receiving prior funding.

    • Requests for funding in excess of $500 will be considered with a completed application including: the amount requested, how the program will be supported in future years, if the program’s costs exceeds the funding request how the additional monies will be obtained, a description of the organization, the project/program for which it requests funding, who will benefit and current financial information for the organization including endowment.

  • Applications are accepted on a quarterly schedule. In order to be considered you must submit a completed application by one of the following dates:

    • December 1st

    • February 1st

    • June 1st

    • September 1st
